“‘Wanda’ now as a Post Tropical Cyclone. Its center is located to the west-northwest of the Azores Islands. It does not represent a danger for Mexican territory,” the Service reported in a notice.
Wanda is located 610 kilometers from the Azores Islands and 5,425 km northeast of the coasts of the southeastern state of Quintana Roo and has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of 85 kilometers per hour.
This cyclone is moving northwest at a speed of 41 kilometers per hour and the SME recommended “extreme precautions to the general population in the areas of the states mentioned due to rain, wind, and waves (including maritime navigation) and to comply with the recommendations issued by the authorities of the National Civil Protection System, in each entity “.
On the other hand, in another notice, they announced, “Tropical Storm ‘Sandra’ has formed from Tropical Depression ‘Nineteen-E’. Its center is located south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, BCS It does not represent a danger to Mexican territory “.
Sandra is located 1,135 kilometers from Cabo San Lucas (in the northern state of Baja California Sur) and has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of 85 kilometers per hour.
This cyclone is moving west-northwest at a speed of 17 kilometers per hour and the EMS recommended “extreme precautions to the general population in the areas of the states mentioned due to rain, wind, and waves (including maritime navigation) and to attend to the recommendations issued by the authorities of the National Civil Protection System, in each entity “.
This year in the Pacific Ocean the cyclones Andrés, Blanca, Carlos, Dolores, Enrique, Felicia, Guillermo, Hilda, Ignacio, Jimena, Kevin, Linda, Marty, Nora, Olaf, Pamela and Rick have formed.
Dolores made landfall in mid-June, killing three from electrical storms.
