Rennes beats AEK Larnaca in a nail-biter in the Europa League.

Europa League: Rennes defeats AEK Larnaca at the last second

During the first day of Group B of the Europa League on Thursday evening, Stade Rennais defeated AEK Larnaca on the grass in Cyprus by a score of 1-2. The match took place in Cyprus.

A rocky beginning for Stade Rennais, which resulted in a victory against AEK Larnaca (1-2) in the dying seconds of the match on the first day of group B on the first day of the Europa League.

The early part of the game was action-packed. Arthur Theatre arrived to open the scoring for Stade Rennais with a powerful shot, which was nicely supported by the inbound post. This occurred just a few minutes after the ball had touched the upright of the Cypriot goalkeeper. Stade Rennais had a clear rapid control (29th). Larnaca, however, saw an opportunity to buck the trend and capitalized on it by taking advantage of the fact that the Bretons were unable to capitalize on this great moment to continue (33rd).

The second half went in favor of the Bretons, who gave the Cypriots very few opportunities to put themselves in a position to win. Despite this, Rennes lacked any semblance of realism and was never able to break through Larnaca’s resistance. The Black and Reds ruined too many frank acts in the second act by playing too many actions solo, which caused them to break their teeth on the Cypriot defensive curtain. Sulemana and Santamaria were responsible for too many of these actions. But in the very last action of the match, Rennes was successful in fooling Patric and winning the contest. As soon as he entered the game, Assignon positioned his head in a way that would fool the goalkeeper (94th).

Fenerbahce defeated Dynamo Kyiv in the deciding match of the other group B competition, and the same thing happened there as well (2-1). Due to the situation between Russia and Ukraine, the British will play host to the Turks the following week, while Larnaca will take on Kyiv in Krakow, which is located in Poland.
