Jackie Groenen, a Dutch international and midfielder for his country’s national team, has decided to leave Manchester United and sign a contract to play for Paris SG for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2025, according to a statement released by the French club on Thursday. Paris SG was a semi-finalist in the most recent Champions League. The athlete, who is now 27 years old, will be playing alongside another off-season rookie named Lieke Martens in Paris. The two of them previously shared the court in Duisburg, Germany, ten years ago.
The former Manchester United player (2019-2022), who has also played for Frankfurt and Chelsea, has joined Paris to bolster the squad’s midfield after it was depleted earlier this summer by the departure of German midfielder Sara Dabritz to Lyon. On the other hand, the capital club was successful in keeping the midfielder Grace Geyoro whom Chelsea was interested in signing. In addition, Paris Saint-Germain has chosen not to incorporate midfielder Kheira Hamraoui into the workforce, ostensibly for reasons related to the team’s athletic performance. The French international is under contract until 2023, even though his previous season was derailed by an assault case that has not yet been resolved.
