Puerto Rican artist Luis Fonsi celebrated this Thursday the fifth anniversary of the release of the song “Despacito”, whose music video became the most viewed in history on YouTube because “it managed to cross language barriers.”
“Today marks 5 years since we launched #Despacito, a theme that managed to cross language barriers and that gave me the opportunity to celebrate my culture and my flag in front of the whole world,” Fonsi wrote in a tweet.
In the message, the artist includes a photo with the Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee, who put his urban touch on the famous song.
