Kim Kardashian has struggled to retain her equilibrium despite her divorce and co-parenting responsibilities.
Khloé Kardashian spoke openly about her divorce from Ye, then known as Kanye West, and the challenges of co-parenting their four children: North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
Kardashian said, in response to the public talk about her breakup with Ye, which came out in February 2021, “That will always follow me.”
Martinez asked the founder of Skims if she kept quiet about her divorce and her relationship with the father of her children so as to “protect” them.
“I certainly protected him, and I will continue to do so in the eyes of my children and for my children,” Kardashian stated, alluding to the fact that she sheltered her children from Ye’s social media posts about her. She continued, “I still will in the eyes of my children and for my children.” Since I do not permit my children to watch the news, they are utterly unaware of what is happening in the world.
“I’ve done it, and I’m hanging on by a thread,” she said further. As long as I am able, I will keep that safe until the end of time.
It all started at the beginning of this year, when Ye took to social media to lash out at Kim Kardashian, her family, and her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson. Further, he complained that he was excluded from significant parental decision-making.
According to Kardashian’s Monday podcast appearance, her children “don’t know anything,” and she is aware of “what goes on” and “what’s being spoken about” at their school because she has close friends who are teachers there.
She elaborated, “If we’re riding to school and they want to listen to their dad’s music, I have to have that smile on my face, blast his music, sing along with my kids, and act like nothing’s wrong.”
When I finally pass them off, I’ll be able to cry my eyes out.
Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian’s daughter, Kim Kardashian, was on the verge of tears as she reminisced about her upbringing and how she had “the finest dad” in the world.
She said, “I don’t want to become emotional; it’s just been a day for me.” I’ll tell you what, it’s not easy. Being a co-parent is a demanding job. It’s incredibly (expletive) challenging. But I had a great dad, so I have wonderful childhood memories and incredible life experiences. All I want for my kids is that they grow up happy and healthy. If they are successful in doing so, then it will be all I could have hoped for.
After Kardashian and Ye reached a divorce settlement in November, the trial that had been scheduled to begin this month was postponed. Ex-spouses and their lawyers have filed documentation with the court asking for approval of the terms upon which they have settled. As part of these agreements, Ye will pay Kardashian $200,000 per month in child support.
A joint custody agreement and a waiver of child support were filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court. The settlement also includes plans for private security and private education, including college tuition, with each parent paying half of these costs.
Each party shall be responsible for their own debts as laid forth in the settlement. The couple had a prenuptial agreement and kept their separate estates after they got married.
The couple’s eight-year marriage was officially dissolved in March after Kardashian asked the judge to do so. A trial is set to start on December 14 to settle the remaining questions about property division and child custody.
