The actor suffered catastrophic chest damage and orthopaedic problems after an accident while shovelling snow on Sunday.
On Monday, his representative said that Jeremy Renner was still in intensive care after undergoing surgery on Sunday.

Actor Jeremy Renner, 51, was harmed on Sunday while ploughing snow near Reno, Nevada, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, which corroborated a statement released by Renner’s representatives. According to the office, the actor was injured and flown to a nearby hospital.
Renner “suffered a substantial chest injury and orthopaedic injuries,” the actor’s representative said in a statement released on Monday. The severity of his wounds required surgical intervention for Renner.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in Reno, Nevada, said that they responded to a call about a person who had suffered a severe injury at 9 a.m. local time on Sunday (12 p.m. ET). It was reported that the incident happened at 12 p.m. Eastern Time.
According to reports, Renner was the only one hurt.
The statement claims that an investigation by the office’s Major Accident Investigation Team is already under way.

Where exactly on his body he had been injured was not obvious. Renner resides in Nevada, as reported by The Associated Press.
He posted an image he had taken of a snowcat, a vehicle used in icy conditions, to Instagram in 2015. Whether the car had any connection to Sunday’s incident was unclear at first glance.

Renner rose to prominence for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel superhero team The Avengers.In addition, his performances in “The Town” and “The Hurt Locker” earned him two Oscar nominations.
A spokesman for Renner stated on Monday that the actor’s family wanted to thank everyone who had supported them during their time of need. This included Renner’s doctors, nurses, emergency responders, and others.

A spokesperson for the actor said in a statement that he remains in a “severe but stable” condition in the intensive care unit of a neighbouring hospital. A statement sent by Renner’s rep said the actor had surgery on January 2, one day after he was hurt while shovelling snow outside his Reno home. People magazine, which covers the entertainment industry, received the statement.
“Today, January 2nd, 2023, we are able to confirm that Jeremy underwent surgery for the treatment of his blunt chest damage and orthopaedic issues. The actor, who has been nominated for two Oscars, “has returned from surgery and is in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition,” his representative said.
Sources close to Jeremy Renner told TMZ that the actor was clearing the road on New Year’s Eve, around a quarter mile from his home, so that he and his family could get to safety after a massive storm had just gone through the region. Snowcat, a type of snowplough, accidentally ran over one of his legs.

Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families, among others, have provided exceptional care for Jeremy, and his family is grateful. The statement added that the family was “very humbled and appreciative” for the support of the singer’s legion of fans. They’re at their wits’ end because of it.

On January 15th, Jeremy Renner will next be seen on the second season of Mayor of Kingstown on the Paramount Network.
