Florence Pugh has revealed that she and Zach Braff split up in the early months of 2022, after nearly three years of dating.
“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing since it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,” Pugh told Harper’s Bazaar for the cover story for the September 2022 issue, which was released on Tuesday. “We just felt that doing something like this would help us because we wouldn’t have millions of people telling us how happy they are that we aren’t together.” We simply felt that something like this would provide us with the advantage of not having that.”
“All right, that’s it. When I talk about it, a lump forms instinctively in the back of my throat.
Throughout their relationship, the 26-year-old “Don’t Worry Darling” singer frequently responded to the negative comments she and the 47-year-old “Scrubs” alum received due to their age difference.
Pugh told the magazine once more that she does not believe she should be chastised for her career choice.
“Whenever I feel like that line has been crossed in my life,” she said, “whether it’s paparazzi taking private moments or moments that aren’t even real or gossip channels encouraging members of the public to share private moments of famous people walking down the street,” she said. “Whether it’s paparazzi capturing private moments or moments that aren’t even real, or gossip channels encouraging members of the public to share private moments of celebrities walking down the street, I think it’s a problem.”
“I do not believe that people should have every aspect of their lives watched and written about simply because they have this profession.” At the moment, we have no plans to appear on a reality television show.
Braff has not made any public statements about their divorce.
In October 2019, Page Six broke the story that the actress from “Little Women” and the actor from “Garden State” were seen getting intimate at a Whole Foods Market in Hollywood.
At the time, one of our sources told us, “it was pretty obvious to me that they’re a couple.”
Pugh revealed the game two months later when she responded to an online troll who made fun of her relationship’s age gap by saying she was dating someone much younger.
