American actor Bob Saget, known for the series “Full House” (forced parents), died as a result of a “closed head injury”, according to the autopsy report published by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, which states also that the comedian had covid when he died.
According to local media reports this Friday, the autopsy report has confirmed some of the details offered by Saget’s family about the possible causes of his death.
“In my opinion, the death of Robert Saget, a 65-year-old white male who was found unresponsive in a hotel room, is the result of closed head trauma,” Medical Examiner Joshua D. Stephany said in his report.
“Most likely, the deceased fell backward and hit the back of his head. The manner of death is an accident,” concludes the coroner on the death of the protagonist of the popular comedy “Full House” ( forced fathers).
This document also indicates, according to CNN, that a PCR test showed that Saget tested positive for covid-19 and that no traces of alcohol or illicit drugs were found in his body, although he did take some medications.
Saget, who died on January 9 in his hotel room in Orlando, in the state of Florida, had already warned in December that he had covid-19 and that PCR tests can return positive results for weeks after recovery.
The comedian had performed the night before at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall (Jacksonville) as part of his stand-up tour.
With a long history dedicated to humor, Saget was very popular for his role as the widowed father Danny Tanner in the big television family of “Full House.”
In the cast of this famous comedy series, which aired 200 episodes, other performers also appeared, such as John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, and the sisters Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen (they alternated playing the youngest daughter of the house).
