A relationship of this kind between a fashion brand and a watchmaker has never been seen before. IWC
IWC Schaffhausen has announced the introduction of cooperation with the Dutch fashion and streetwear brand that is inspired by its Top Gun “Woodland” chronograph.
Guillaume Philibert, founder and creative director of Filling Pieces, recently designed a pair of limited edition sneakers called the “Low Top Ghost Woodland” in honor of his company’s partnership with IWC. These sneakers take their inspiration from the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition “Woodlands” in terms of both their design and their color codes.
The “Woodlands” name was given to the new green ceramic hue that will be applied to the Filling Pieces flagship shop that will be opening in Amsterdam over the next three weeks. Guillaume Philibert established Filling Pieces in 2009 to create a high-end sneaker that could be purchased for an affordable price. Her “Low Top,” which was designed to bridge the gap between streetwear and haute couture, has evolved into a symbol of inexpensive luxury design and is one of the most iconic models produced by the Dutch business. According to Christian Knoop, Chief Design Officer of IWC Schaffhausen, “There are many points of convergence between our businesses, notably in terms of workmanship, culture, and innovation.” Every time we work on a new design project, we incorporate elements of our past alongside contemporary inspirations that we draw from the world around us. Moodboards are frequently used to illustrate architecture and fashion, and, likely, there isn’t a single board that does not include sneakers. It’s thrilling to see that our Top Gun collection has sparked ideas for Filling Pieces.

The original profile of Filling Piece’s “Low Top” has been brought back to life in the form of the “Low Top Ghost Woodland.” The Top Gun Chronograph Edition pilot’s watch “Woodlands” from IWC, the brand’s first green ceramic watch, served as inspiration for the aesthetic features and color codes that are featured in this piece. The shoe features a quality perforated nubuck leather upper, a stitched Filling Pieces logo, and the brand’s characteristic phantom outsole, complete with a laser-etched “X” pattern that was inspired by the watch strap. It also comes in the distinguishing color “Woodlands,” which was specified by Pantone. The sneaker will be made available at fillpieces.com beginning September 23, and can be purchased there. There will be a total of only 100 pairs available, ranging in size from 39 to 46.

This clock is driven by a sturdy and dependable chronograph movement that features a column wheel.
